Quantum-Enhanced Intrusion Detection

Hybrid quantum-classical detection models, and a look at how ready real enterprises are for the quantum-safe transition.

Quantum circuit diagram feeding into a classical LSTM network

Overview

Quantum computing is reshaping network security from two directions at once: as a new tool for building detectors, and as a looming threat to today’s cryptography. This project explores hybrid quantum-classical architectures for intrusion detection, alongside a survey-driven look at how prepared real enterprises actually are for a quantum-safe migration.

  • Are Enterprises Ready for Quantum-Safe Cybersecurity? — arXiv preprint, 2025

Status

Active. The hybrid quantum-classical LSTM work is accepted for ICOIN 2026; the enterprise-readiness survey is available as a preprint.
