Five streams covering the full AIoT and cybersecurity stack

From the sensor networks and edge hardware IoT systems run on, to the AI that secures them — each stream below links to the projects and publications it has produced.

IoT & Edge Systems

We design and build the infrastructure that intelligent IoT systems run on — from sensor networks and embedded platforms to fault-tolerant edge computing architectures — with deployments spanning safety-critical settings like real-time gas-leak detection.

AI for IoT

This stream builds the AI that runs on IoT and edge hardware itself — combining multi-modal sensor fusion, TinyML, and federated learning to bring computer vision and autonomous robotics capabilities to resource-constrained devices without relying on the cloud.

IoT Security

We study how to secure IoT devices and the traffic they generate — classifying botnet activity and malware families with graph neural networks and Kolmogorov-Arnold Networks, and building anomaly-monitoring approaches designed around privacy from the ground up.

AI for Cybersecurity

We apply causal, graph-based, and quantum-enhanced AI to network and host intrusion detection, and study how to make these systems explainable, robust to adversarial pressure, and secure when learning is federated across many devices.

Intelligent Systems

Beyond individual techniques, we study how intelligent systems should be governed and adopted responsibly — from enterprise readiness for emerging threats like the quantum-safe transition, to frameworks that build the next generation of security talent through competition-based education.
